For those that don’t know him- J.W. is a really groovy guy. Super friendly and obviously a brilliant musician.
I saw him many times with my fav’ band “Marillion”, starting in 1995- and finally met talked to him in 2002 (i think it was) in Montreal with Porcupine Tree. SIX years later I talked with him again in New Haven, CT. After just saying hi to him, he said, “Is your name ‘Eric’?” (‘yeah’..) “I’ve met you before, but I don’t remember where, maybe Montreal or…?” (‘yeah it was! wow!’)
*Yes he actually remembered lil’ ole me from six years before. (and I am a boring person) so that says a lot about the guy. Check out his solo work if you have not. Try out, “King of 17″.

Nice interview. I am very familiar with Porcupine Tree from a fellow musician and admire their work greatly. Thanks to John and Tripp. Great material.
