I am fully convinced it was by no means accidentally that I stumbled on your podcast program. I've tried many great techniques but I lack focus, staying present and the ability to meditate for any prolong time. Thanks for the tips and the times it has created a ray of hope for me. Your cheat sheet and videos have swiftly turned my life around 360 degrees. I owe your a tremendous debt of gratitude.

This practice has changed my life. Prior to trying meditation I was a very fearful and angry man, since "taking my seat" life has really opened up for me. I no longer just blindly follow my emotions and fearful thoughts that arise in my mind. Their is nothing like seeing your mind "channel surf" and realizing that you dont have to follow every program that comes on the screen of your mind.

Thanks, Tripp for posting this blog it really connected with me.

Quote: "If I’m not HERE in this moment, I can’t respond to the challenges or opportunities that are actually here. If my mind is constantly wandering in the past or fantasy-future, then I’m unable to take action in the current moment — the only one we’ve really got."

YES! Clearly you are a meditator sir, because you just nailed it! Understanding THIS principle is where the motive to meditate often begins; that and a good heaping spoon full of curiosity, courage, and the balls to sit (and stay) with whatever arises in the silence. What is in the silence?

Luke to Yoda: "Whats in the cave?"
Yoda to Luke: "Only what you take with you."

I appreciate your inspiring energy to get dudes who are always "GO GO GO" to just "SIT SIT SIT." Like trying to tame a wild bull.

I whole-heartedly agree with you Tripp. Going so fast (ya know, to bring home the bacon), we often get stuck in gear, and unknowingly miss out out on being present with our lives, our wives, our children, our emotions, etc. What else could be more important? ..Money? Well, as the wisest among us will surely agree - you can't take that with you when you die. But you CAN leave an enduring legacy in the hearts and memories of those you leave behind. This very moment, this is it. http://bit.ly/dCH0kM
