<itunes:summary>How to Spank and S**t Your Way to Enlightenment - His Holy Holiness Sri Sri Sri Spankneesh
Does life sometimes feel like a hamster wheel where you’re constantly chasing more money, sex or something else?

Since we all end up dead anyway, should life be taken seriously?

And how is it possible that a man from India can literally spank you into enlightenment?

In this episode we go deep with His Holy Holiness Sri Sri Sri Spankneesh Ji, a controversial spiritual guru. We’re talking about the meaning of life, spanking butts and, well, shit.
In this episode:

How does spanking bring us to enlightenment?
Will chasing more ass, cash or status just bring you more pain?
Why Bill Gates’ money, George Clooney’s sex life or the body of Shawn Phillips won’t bring lasting happiness
What do you really want beyond paying the bills, orgasms, etc.?
Where can we find true, lasting happiness?
Is figuring out the mystery of life a mistake?
How can “shit” be a holy word?
	Should you take life seriously?
Why are some “spiritual” or “personal growth” people such a drag?
What is really beyond the macho jerk and the new age wimp?

About John Wesley
The music of John Wesley has been called lyrically sensitive and musically dynamic. Wesley's current brand of guitar-driven acoustic and electric songs represent the cultivation of a diversity of inspirations from alternative, progressive, classic rock and folk genres intertwined with poignant lyrics drawn from the poetry of the common man. Furthermore, his skillful, versatile and energetic guitar style complements with fury his soulful emotionally-charged vocals reminiscent of Roger Waters or Bruce Springsteen. But what really appeals to Wesley's fans worldwide is a spark of sincerity and sensitivity so oft absent in today's mainstream music.

Most recently, John Wesley has performed as sideman, guitarist/vocalist for critically acclaimed Lava/Warner Brothers UK based recording act Porcupine Tree, during the In Absentia and Deadwing world tours. In recent years he as performed lead guitars and background vocals for White Lion frontman Mike Tramp, subbed on lead guitar and bass for Gainesville's Sister Hazel, and as lead guitarist for Scottish neo-prog legend Fish on many lengthy European, American and South American Tours and on several US and European Solo dates.

John Wesley's professional music career began in the early 80's in the Tampa, Florida area where he founded 1991 Southwestern Music Conference's showcase act Autodrive. The following year Wesley embarked on a solo career and became the premier opening act for British rockers Marillion on seven consecutive tour legs around the world -- especially North and South America, the UK and Europe -- where he played for hundreds of thousands of fans. In 1998, Wesley embarked with ex-White Lion front-man Mike Tramp on an extensive tour as premier opening act for the prestigious Peter Frampton/Lynryd Skynyrd tour. Following this was several world Tours with Scottish artist Fish. In 2001, John Wesley was the primary co-writer of Fish’s Fellini Days album.  He began touring as guitarist and backing vocalist for Porcupine tree in 2002, and has is currently touring in support of the bands recent release, Fear of a Blank Planet.

Wesley's 1994 first album, Under the Red & White Sky, released on Racket Records quickly sold out it's first pressing of 10,000 copies and has been repressed in 1998 quickly selling another 10,000 plus copies. His second release, The Closing of the Pale Blue Eyes, also quickly sold out and has been re-released as a bonus disc on the NEW re-mastered Under the Read and White Sky disc. Wesley's third solo effort, The Emperor Falls, for former Music for Nations label magnate Martin Hooker's new venture, Dream Catcher Records in Europe, quickly sold out it's first printing. In 2002, Wesley released his fourth solo album, Chasing Monsters, in Europe on Dreamcatcher Records to great acclaim in the Euro Indy circles. In 2005,</itunes:summary>

 <itunes:summary>How to Be Charismatic
Do you ever talk to strangers?

Do you only notice people you think may be able to get you laid or paid?

And what is the best way to deal with guys who are shit talkers or haters?

This week, we’re talking with Jordan Harbinger from the Pickup Podcast about how YOU can bust out of your social conditioning and unlock the charisma within.
In this episode:

	Why charismatic guys rule
	How to become outgoing
The benefits of having good social skills
The dangers of judging others to be more or less valuable than you
Why some guys are submissive or constantly apologizing
Why some guys are haters or shit-talkers
Why some guys are competitive, constantly comparing themselves to others
Why some guys are naturally cooperative
How to inspire others to want to help you
A simple practice for getting out of your social shell

About Jordan Harbinger
Jordan Harbinger has always had an affinity for Social Influence and Dynamics, but first became aware just how valuable these skills were when his grades left him just short of the acceptance requirements for University Of Michigan School of Law. Jordan, unwilling to accept the possibility of being unable to pursue his career of choice, immediately and effectively talked his way into law school. It was then that his fascination and curiosity with the power of Social Influence was born.

It was while attending law school that Jordan also began his education in Social Dynamics and his search for the best in the field. In 2006 he started Pickup Podcast, a Relationship Advice and Social Dynamics interview podcast with Co-Host AJ Harbinger. With the following garnered from Pickup Podcast, Jordan began coaching students in his free time on an on-call basis. It was during these sessions that he realized the substantial need for progression and innovation in the industry.

After graduating in the top of his class, Jordan went on to New York City to pursue his dream of being a Wall Street lawyer. He was accepted at a top-tier firm, but his passion for Social Dynamics still flourished. His search soon brought him to Johnny Dzubak & Alex Weber, two efficacious Social Dynamists. Shortly thereafter, Jordan became even more engrossed in the world of Social Dynamics and saw a strong need for integrity and candor in the industry. It was then he quit his job as a lawyer and founded The Art of Charm. In 2008 SiriusXM Satellite Radio approached Jordan with an offer to host a weekly show on a trial basis. The show was an unequivocal success and Game On became a permanent fixture at SiriusXM, broadcast all over the North American continent.

Jordan’s business sense, extensive knowledge of the industry and contemporary approach to coaching make him one of the best and most sought after dating coaches in the world. These qualities have also led him to receive some of the highest recognitions in the industry of Social Dynamics.

Are you tolerating some soul-sucking job because you don’t think you could survive any other way?

Do you believe that if you “follow your passion” everything will just fall into place financially?

And does your financial doomsday scenario paralyze your ability to realize your greater potential?

This week we’re talking with Johnny B Truant, a guy who started making 5 figures a month — within 9 months — by seemingly being himself. Sound too good to be true? Let’s find out.

Last year, Johnny B Truant was upside down after participating in a real estate investment gone awry. He was scrambling to provide for his family and pay down thousands of dollars every month that these investment deals were backfiring.

Johnny had done the soul sucking job, he had crashed and burned in his own web development company and then ultimately he found his groove where he struck a great balance between being himself and providing clear value to certain group of people.

Within 9 months, Johnny went from $0 to 5 figures per month and he did it with integrity and without having to become a bullshit artist.

He’s got a ton of useful information for anyone who wants to blend their passion with their livelihood.

In this episode, we discuss:

Following your passion won’t likely pay the bills — but that doesn’t mean you should quit
Making a living by being yourself
Ditching the “Business Code of Conduct”
Figuring out what is valuable to others
	Win/Win — It’s more than just a cliche
	The importance of relationships
The sure fire recipe for business success (or any success for that matter)
Fear and the idea that “there is no spoon”
What you can do today to start your own business

About Johnny B Truant

Johnny B. Truant is an internet marketing nonconformist and punk rock entrepreneur. In nine months, he used his own breed of “personality branding” (characterized by transparency, win-win-win business thinking, an abundance of character, and a healthy lack of “professionalism”) into a five-figure-monthly business.

In addition to running his own site at JohnnyBTruant.com, Johnny is a frequent contributor to mega-blogs Copyblogger.com and Problogger.net, as well as to the cult hit small business marketing blog IttyBiz.com.</itunes:summary>

Here’s another recent email exchange I had with a New Man listener. Enjoy!

(Keep in mind, English is not his first language)

“Dear Tripp,

Great contribution to help turning more men into ´New men´. I am definitely on my way, and listening to your interviews is always a source of positive energy and life force.

I just accepted a job offer, returning to a corporate career, I am moving to another place, the middle east.

A complete new environment, new job, but also good opportunity to make some additional changes.

I have accomplished a lot in my life, however, one of the things I am having trouble with is connecting to other men, for friendship, in a profound way, let´s say, finding other ´new men´, without the superficial macho talk. I have never been the ´teamsports´ type of guy, and I feel I have missed out a bit on this ´brotherhood´, go out with the boys, etc… I have wife and family, but I miss a connection to other men.

I live my life to the full, like adventure, and therefore I change my life´s direction about every 5 years, including moving to a very different place in the world.… Click here to read the rest...

I just had this exchange with a New Man listener. Enjoy.

He writes:

“I’m a new listener as of December 2009. I love it. I have been reading professional development and self help books and audio for the last 2 years.

I would like to hear a show about marriage commitment. whether to marry or not. I love my girl, and I want to marry her soon. But I have a strong sex drive and sometimes my mind wonders. Is this normal for someone who genuinely loves someone? Do I need help?”

My response:

Thanks for writing — it’s great that you’re enjoying the shows!

Marriage commitment and any kind of relationship commitment is a solid idea for a topic, too. I dealt with this for a LONG time in my previous relationship and I coach guys on this stuff, too.

I don’t have the complete picture for you, but from experience I don’t believe that a guy’s sex drive or admiration of other women should suddenly cease to exist. It’s not an indicator whether or not he loves his mate.

The only help I would suggest would be to learn how to “own your desire”. Good news is that… Click here to read the rest...

<itunes:summary>We’re back for Part 2 of our hilarious discussion with Stuart Davis -- rock star, buddhist monk and host of “Sex, God, Rock n Roll”.

In this episode we discuss:

A good woman will challenge and support you to be a better man in every area of your life
Becoming a father can crush any grand ideas you have about who you think you are
There is no such thing as an “un-spiritual” moment
Stepping into “the fire” of life and confronting your deepest fears
The significance of being able to laugh at yourself
	How surrendering doesn’t mean defeat
What happens when we resist our life
	The amazing new pill, “Alco-hard”
The new TV show “Sex, God Rock n Roll”

About Stuart Davis, Musician, Artist

With eleven full-length albums to his credit, Stuart Davis has carved out a unique wavelength in the musical spectrum. Taking the topics of God, sex, and life and death, and crafting them into inimitable pop songs with lyrical flair and unforgettable hooks, Stuart continues to be one of the great, undiscovered singer/songwriters around.

In addition to his musical brilliance, Stuart is becoming something of a cultural force. With the support of devoted fans, in 1999 Stuart started his own record company, Dharma Pop Records (first called Post Apocalyptic Records), through which he has released four albums to date ("Bright Apocalypse", "Stuart Davis 2001", "The Late Stuart Davis", and the recent "Bell"). The same fan base has formed its own divinely mad community. These "Punk Monks" help promote Stuart's shows, run Stuart Davis websites, and generally spread the word of what has come to be known as Post Apocalyptic Punk Folk, or what we might simply call Integral Pop.

The multifarious Davis is also a published author, having contributed to the book Radical Spirit (New World Library). And he's a fictional character too, appearing in Ken Wilber's novel Boomeritis (Shambhala). His series of video road journals are a regular part of the Integral Naked website, a multimedia doorway to the world of integral awareness. Armed with one camera, two guitars, and multiple personalities, Stuart introduces us to the bizarre and beautiful world of life as a nomadic mystic. If that weren't enough, Stuart is forming his own actual language, called "IS." (For a taste of IS, listen to Stu's album "Bell".) In the moments when Stuart is not criss-crossing the country on tour, he lives in Boulder, CO, with his wife, Marci, and their daughter, Ara Belle, freshly manifest from the bardo realm.</itunes:summary>

About Brian Johnson, Philosopher, Entrepreneur, Creator of Philosopher Notes

I've always been passionate about understanding what makes great people great and applying the truths they embodied to make my little dent in the universe.

After selling my last business (Zaadz) and traveling for a bit, I decided to give myself a Ph.D. in Optimal Living with a Specialization in Greatness and Bliss.

Figured I’d get a Master’s when I’d distilled 100 of my favorite books into concise, fun, inspiring summaries. Then, on a flight from Tokyo to LA, I had one of those “Aha!/hallelujah!!” moments when I opened the SkyMall to an ad for a company that summarized business books for “busy executives.” I decided someone should do summaries of self-development books for the “busy self-actualizer” and that that someone should be me. ☺

Enter: PhilosophersNotes. (Imagine CliffsNotes. Only shorter. And cooler. And a *lot* more inspiring. ☺)

I'm currently on sabbatical in Bali working my way through two suitcases of books while I re-wire my consciousness, create the first 100 PhilosophersNotes and teach a Philosophy class at the local yoga studio.

Pinch me. I heart my job.

Before you write us off as crazy, listen to what Steve Pavlina has to say about job loss, bankruptcy, and any of life's major challenges.

Personal development expert and massively popular blogger and author, Steve breaks it down for us in 3 easy steps:

Step 1: If you are not dead, this challenge will make you stronger.
Step 2: This is your opportunity to think about what you really want in life.
Step 3: Ask yourself what kind of goals inspire you right now.

If you move towards your inspiration fully, learn from your passion, and share it with the world, you can't fail according to Steve.

Listen as Steve puts it all in perspective and gives us some real advice on how to live our dreams.

About Steve Pavlina, Personal Development for Smart People

Steve Pavlina is widely recognized as one of the most successful personal development bloggers on the Internet, attracting more than two million monthly readers to his website, StevePavlina.com. He has written more than 700 articles and recorded many audio programs on a broad range of self-help topics, including productivity, relationships, and spirituality. Steve has been quoted as an expert by the New York Times, USA Today, U.S. News & World Report, the Los Angeles Daily News, Self Magazine, and The Guardian.

Steve's passionate pursuit of personal growth began while sitting in a jail cell. Arrested for felony grand theft at age 19 and expelled from school, the full weight of responsibility for his life came crashing down upon him. In an attempt to overcome his out-of-control kleptomania addiction, he decided the best course of action was to go to work on himself.

Since then Steve has become one of the most intensely growth-oriented individuals you'll ever know. After making an extensive study of time management techniques, he earned college degrees in computer science and mathematics in only three semesters. In later years he founded a successful software company, developed award-winning computer games, ran the Los Angeles Marathon, trained in martial arts, and adopted a raw vegan diet.

By giving away his best ideas for free, Steve created one of the most popular personal development websites in the world without spending a dime on marketing or promotion. Some of his articles have been translated into more than a dozen different languages, benefitting readers from 150 countries.

Steve has a reputation for conducting unusual growth experiments, the most famous being his polyphasic sleep trial, during which he slept only two hours per day for five and a half months, publicly documenting his results each step of the way.

Steve currently lives in Las Vegas (Summerlin area) and enjoys an open (polyamorous) marriage with psychic medium Erin Pavlina.

Steve's purpose in life is:

to live consciously and courageously;

to enjoy, increase, and share peace, energy, passion, and abundance;

to resonate with love and compassion;

to awaken the great spirits within others;

and to fully embrace this present moment.</itunes:summary>

About Robert Masters

My passion is to fuel, illuminate, and support the living of a deeper life, a life of love, integrity, and fully alive awakening. Providing environments (both inner and outer) in which deep healing and transformation can take place is my vocation and privilege.

Having just reached my 60th birthday, I notice that I am finding freedom more through intimacy — intimacy not only with my beloved Diane, but also with all that is — than through transcendence. There is a deeply satisfying joy for me in passing on what I have learned, especially through my integral psychotherapy apprenticeship programs and the couples intensives that I do with Diane.

Since 1977 I've worked as a psychotherapist (I have a Ph.D. in Psychology), group leader, bodyworker, and teacher of spiritual deepening practices, integrating the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual in my practice. Most weekends these days I'm leading groups or trainings.

Evolving in fitting parallel with this has been my writing, which is as much a passion for me as facilitating deep groupwork. I've authored eight books, including Divine Dynamite, Darkness Shining Wild, and, most recently, Transformation Through Intimacy. My essays have appeared in magazines ranging from Magical Blend to the Journal of Transpersonal Psychology, as well as in several anthologies. And running rampant through all my writing is my poetry, keeping my prose on its toes.</itunes:summary>

In Part 2 of our conversation with Dan Taslitz, we hear about Dan’s experience coming home from Iraq and how he transitioned back to civilian life.

In Part 2 of our conversation with Dan Taslitz, we hear about Dan's experience coming home from Iraq and how he transitioned back to civilian life.

Dan has developed a system to convert stress into true strength and teaches men the power of vulnerability, learning to bend with resilience and not break in rigidity.

Listen as Dan gives us a glimpse of his life as a soldier. He then shows us his new life as a leader and compassionate warrior helping others resource their trauma to find true strength.

Jayson gives us some suggestions on how to take your insight back into the world and how to stay connected to your highest self throughout your life.

What is the Rite of Passage really about?

Are you in touch with the fact that one day you will die?

Popular culture often hints at the kind of initiation into manhood we are talking about. War films, coming of age tales and hero stories are often built around a man’s Rite of Passage in some way. “Fight Club” pointed to the problem, but didn’t really offer a workable solution. The film “Into the Wild” is Jayson’s favorite Rite of Passage story, and every man with these questions should check it out.
